This Smyrna hot dog spot has 18 varieties of frankfurters. Among the offerings are the Jamaican jerk chicken with grilled pineapples and island sauce and the taco dog with chili, cheese, and guacamole. Throw in a side of loaded fries and funnel cake sticks. There are now seven locations throughout metro Atlanta.

This food stall backed by chef Andrew Zimmern inside Chattahoochee Food Works is slinging both burgers and dogs. While the burgers get all the love, the hot dogs might be the sleeper hits on this menu. Try the New Yorker garnished with sauerkraut, Feltman’s mustard, and braised onions or the Chicago dog topped with bright green sweet relish, diced tomatoes and onions, peppers, Feltman’s mustard, and, of course, a pickle spear.

This beer garden in the middle of the Benteen Park neighborhood is always filled with people (and their dogs) enjoying fresh air, brews, and a variety of events throughout the week. The food menu at Red’s is loaded with hot dog selections, including the Das Dog with sauerkraut and brown mustard and the Red’s Favorite topped with pimento cheese, fig jam, and bacon.

Made from carrots that marinate in a 15-spice blend resulting in claims of a similar consistency to a hot dog, order vegan dogs topped with everything from coleslaw and veggie chili to relish and grilled onions and peppers.

This option is for the night owls. Hot dog stand Screamin’ Weenies opened on the back patio of East Atlanta Village restaurant Banshee in 2021. While originally open for lunch during the height of the pandemic, the hot dog stand has since scaled back operations to Friday and Saturday nights. Open Friday and Saturday, 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Located in the H Mart food court in both Duluth and Doraville, this Korean stall offers hot dogs on a stick (think corn dogs) that are deep fried and filled with a choice of cheese, rice cake, potato, and even squid ink.
