Where to Eat and Drink in Castleberry Hill, West End, and Westview

A neighborhood dining and drinking guide

View as Map

Historic neighborhoods Castleberry Hill, Adair Park, West End, and Westview are getting some new buzz. Home to Atlanta’s historic African-American colleges Clark Atlanta University, Spelman, and Morehouse, Southwest Atlanta will soon be certified “on the BeltLine” when the Westside Trail extension opens to the public on September 29. With it will come development projects such as Lee + White, which will be anchored by several local food and beverage purveyors. A few blocks away, brewpub Lean Draft House recently became the first new restaurant to open along this stretch of the trail. More are coming.

Flanked by M.L.K. Drive to the north, Campbellton Road to the south, Metropolitan Parkway and Peters Street to the east, and Westview Cemetery to the west, the neighborhoods’ restaurants include everything from vegetarian and vegan destinations, barbecue, casual breakfast, and more. Here, now, are 17 restaurants, bars, and breweries, mapped north to south, that make these neighborhoods worth a visit.
