Many soccer fans have planned vacation days months in advance to take in the action, and those who haven't are likely scrambling to come up with excuses over the next month. The Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub

Whether or not the United States is playing, Brewhouse will be packed with soccer fans. Der Biergarten opens and noon throughout the tournament and will feature lunch specials and TVs inside and outside in the beer garden. On Thursday, there’s a kickoff party beginning at 4 p.m.

The Elder Tree Public House

Elder Tree is opening a beer garden for the tournament, and there will be daily raffles and live bands on the weekends. Beverage specials include $4 Sweetwater beers, Magners Cider, Jack Daniel’s, and well drinks, and food specials are running for $4, as well.

This East Atlanta bar is offering Midway money for fans who sign up for the World Cup Passport Rewards Program. There will also be raffles for a flat-screen TV, EA Sports Fifa 14, and other prizes.
