The Best Bar Food in the City

In the old days, a bar was a dark and dingy place where you could drown your sorrows or celebrate your achievements by throwing back some shots and downing beer after beer. If there was food, it was likely peanuts—and maybe a greasy burger or two. Now, with a focus on mixology and pairing drinks with food (and vice versa), the line between restaurants and bars begins to blur. Suddenly places with "Beer Bar" in their name serve mussels, shrimp and grits, and organic black bean burgers! However, despite the gourmet or at least tasty fare, these places are still watering holes—spots people frequent for happy hour, late night and anytime the need for alcohol hits. These are the type of places we considered when choosing Atlanta’s Best Bar Food.
