When major league soccer came to Atlanta in 2017, it unwittingly sparked a massive fanbase that pushed the game to the forefront of the city’s sports community. In 2018, Atlanta United was crowned MLS champions at home inside the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The 2019 soccer season officially begins March 2. Whether an Atlanta United season ticket holder trying to catch away games with fellow fans or simply be part of soccer fever in the A, here’s a few Atlanta restaurants and bars for watching “the beautiful game.”

For those in the northern ‘burbs, Pizzeria Azzurri is a soccer lover’s dream. Futball is in their DNA as azzurri is the nickname for the Italian team, even if they aren’t playing in the Cup this year. The pizzeria is one of the few official OTP Atlanta United pub partners and is tapping Three Taverns’ “Rowdy And Proud” for the entirety of the festivities. The menu is filled with build-your-own pizzas, Italian-American classics like lasagna and cheese, crispy wings, and red sauce-laden sandwiches. There’s even options for the gluten-free here.

This OTP brewery in historic downtown Duluth plans to show soccer matches on a drop down projector screen. The 10-barrel facility at Good Word focuses production on IPAs, saisons, sours, and stouts which are on tap in the brewpub and for purchase to-go.
